The Opportunity

A $250 unit is a real investment in real businesses, available to Michigan residents.

An investment in Unlocked Ventures begins with a unit. Each unit is priced at $250 and represents an equal portion of the annual profit distributions generated by the fund's social enterprises. Every unit participates in distributions on identical terms — one unit receives the same return per unit as any other, regardless of how many units an investor holds. The maximum cumulative return per unit is $1,000, which means a $250 investment has the potential to return four times its original value over time.

Michigan residents may invest up to $10,000 in a single offering without any additional qualification. That means an investor can purchase up to 40 units and participate fully in the fund's annual distributions.

An accredited investor is an individual who meets certain income or net worth thresholds established by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Investors who qualify as accredited may invest beyond the $10,000 limit. The SEC's full definition of an accredited investor is available at sec.gov.

For most Michigan residents considering an investment in Unlocked Ventures, accredited investor status is not a factor. A $250 unit is a real investment in real businesses, and the returns it generates are the same as those available to any other unit in the fund. The size of the investment does not change what it means — it means a Michigan resident choosing to put their capital to work in their own community, in businesses that exist to prove something worth proving.
